David

Born and raised in Southern California, David Gordon is the son of missionaries Jim and Diane Gordon, founders of the mission organization Youth Enterprises (YE)—now known as Sport X Change International, Inc.—established in 1960. With a deep love for sports running through his veins, David’s life has been filled with countless adventures sharing the everlasting love of Jesus Christ both south of the border and around the world.

While attending LeTourneau College in Longview, Texas, David met his loving wife, Brenda. He later attended Logos Bible Institute at Grace Community Church in California, further equipping himself for ministry.

In 1998, while raising his family in Florida and leading ministries to Latin America, David sensed God’s clear call to step into full-time ministry with Sport X Change. The following year, after the passing of his father, he began serving as President. Over more than six decades of ministry, David has witnessed the world change repeatedly, yet he has seen firsthand that God never changes. The unshakable truth of His Word and the good news of Jesus Christ remain firmly planted in the hearts of His joyful and faithful servants.

David’s life and ministry reflect the promise of Isaiah 55:11: “So shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it.”
